L’UFA (Unité Forestière d’Aménagement) que Monsieur Marelis exploite actuellement lui a été attribuée après appel d’offre du programme de la Banque Mondiale dans le cadre de la gestion durable des Forêts tropicales. Mr Marelis has obtained the current UFA 10 062 (Forest Management Unit) following a call for tenders issued by the World Bank program for legalized logging. |

Le Plan d’Aménagement a été validé en 2004. Au delà de l’activité forestière, l’entreprise dispose aussi d’une unité de sciage (production bois débités) en forêt. Le terrain de la base couvre 52 342 m2 et comprend des bureaux, hangars, campement, garage, scierie et autres équipements. La société dispose actuellement d’une scierie comprenant principalement deux scies horizontales (CD10). Une extension des outils de production actuels est envisagée à court terme, avec une scie verticale. The Forest Management Plan was validated in 2004. In addition to its logging activity, the company also has a sawmilling unit producing sawn timber in the heart of the forest. The base area covers 52,342 m2 of laterite terrain housing the company buildings: 300 m2 of hangars, base camp, garage, sawmill and others.The company currently runs a sawmill, equipped with two horizontal saws (CD10) and other tools.
